About the Role

·         We are hiring a Frontend Software Engineer (React/Next.js) to build real-time, interactive dashboards and user experiences for an AI-driven telemetry platform deployed across the UK.

·         You will translate complex, fast-moving datasets into intuitive UIs, visualizations, and workflows used by UK city councils, transport operators, and mobility teams.

·         This role combines data visualization, modern UI engineering, and system design — ideal for frontend engineers seeking impactful, high-scale projects.

Key Job Responsibilities

·         Develop modern, responsive web applications using React and Next.js

·         Build real-time dashboards for telemetry, AI analytics, and mobility insights

·         Create advanced data visualizations using Chart.js, D3.js, and Mapbox

·         Design intuitive interfaces for complex data and interactive workflows

·         Implement state management with Redux Toolkit

·         Optimize UI performance for high-frequency data updates

·         Work closely with backend and DevOps teams to improve API and data flows

·         Implement automated UI tests and integrate with CI/CD pipelines

·         Participate in UX reviews, design discussions, and sprint ceremonies

Required Skills & Qualifications

·         Strong expertise in React 18, Next.js 14, TypeScript

·         Experience with Redux Toolkit and modern state management patterns

·         Proficiency in Tailwind CSS and responsive UI development

·         Hands-on experience with data visualization libraries

·         Exposure to real-time or event-driven UI design is a plus

·         Experience with WebSockets, SSE, or streaming integrations (preferred)
