· Conduct and/or supervise Environmental impact assessments (EIA) for all projects.
· Prepare Environmental Management Plan (EMP) for all projects that shall be part of the civil contract.
· Train engineers and Field Staff on EIA, to ensure that environment aspects are taken into account during the all phases of grants implementation.
· Monitor compliance with agreed EMP measures during implementation, which shall include making site visits at least once during the Project lifecycle to visually inspect environmental management aspects and have discussions with contractors, Community and project staff about any challenges or issues of non-compliance.
· Support to identify any outstanding issue appeared during the execution and prepares a plan for mitigation measures.
· Assist in developing and refining monitoring tools used to gather necessary data to determine EIA effectiveness.
· Production of (at least) monthly EIA program information reports for internal consumption.
· Maintain the necessary flow of information with all FDPGC offices in FATA on EIA matters.
· Establish and maintain a database of all records and documentation related to environmental management of all projects.
· Contribution to reviews of the project Environmental Mitigation Statement.
· Other activities to be specified by senior management.
